Black Horse mic way too low. Kruptos is fine, yours is too low. This is a recurring issue as I listen to you on other You Tube streams, etc. and always your sound is very low. This time I had to really strain to hear you and it's not a pleasant experience. I hope you will fix this going forward as it affects whether I will persevere as it takes a lot of effort to to hear you. Please man!

At some point in this podcast, I hope you will have a discussion about which new elite we want installed. The Western elite has a number of virtues which would help the country, chiefly in making us wealthier. But they too have problems. An exhaustive exploration of our options would be a really interesting episode or series of episodes.
This is a very interesting discussion about the relationship between Canadian sovereignty and trade policy. The reflections near the end on finding alternative trade partners left me wondering, however, as to what you guys make of the CANZUK scheme. As someone born and raised in Canada now living in Australia, I would very much like to see the idea get some traction. What are the chances of that happening? I'd love to hear you discuss the issue!
This is a topic that warrants some discussion. I've been to Australia and NZ a number of times, though not recently. The cultural similarity jumps out immediately, though they both have the feel of a much younger country. Obviously there are deep political similarities as well, and in all four countries political system the absence of a strong guiding Monarch around which the political system was originally designed to function is really obvious. e.g. Justin Trudeau just got away with suspending parliment for months in the middle of a trade crisis because the governor general has become a patronage appointment of the PM rather than the King's representative in our politics.
With the present marginalization of the interests of the Anglo-Saxon peoples in CA/UK, there is a feeling that the ethnic Anglo diaspora is culturally very important, and you can see those cultural memes being kept alive within that network online. There would need to be huge political changes in all of our countries to see that network come to a position of political importance again, though the economic ties continue to be surprisingly strong.
If CANZUK is to amount to anything more than just another trade deal it must become a "project of peoplehood" capable of restoring the strong gods of British race patriotism throughout the entirety of the Anglosphere, including the USA. This would entail an Anglo-Protestant reformation aiming to save "the lost sheep" of Greater Britain.
As you say, the Anglo-Saxons have become stateless peoples whose political salvation will require a historical and geopolitical theology reminiscent of Jesus and Paul's vision of the resurrection of the lost tribes of northern Israel, then scattered among the nations.
If I may be permitted to toot my own horn, I try to flesh out the nature of such a project in my new book on Christian nationalism, discussed here:
Elite Theory ought to be confirmed as Elite Law by now. Didn’t even waste my time voting; last vote cast was in a Federal by-election two, maybe three, years ago. Enjoy the podcast thus far, gents. Well done.

I've been involved in everything from academic conferences to pub nights in the right wing intelectual space internationally. Canada is a very hard context because of the geographic spread.

Black Horse I love you man but your mic is too low! (This is a consistent problem on econ minis as well). Eat the mic!
New mic arrived today, so hopefully I can get a better quality setup.

This morning's heritage minute is the first thing I've done on the new equipment. Sound is much cleaner.

I'll try to take some time and have a look over the next few days.
This is FANTASTIC. Thank you. Posted to X. And spread among friends.

I'd be interested in meeting, or some kind of online event.
In terms of the Ontario election - Ontarians are still in the throes of the boomer truth regime.
Have you guys considered having physical meetings?
I am in eastern Ontario and think coffee or drinks with likeminded people would be very good. Change won't happen on the internet alone.
Great episode so far!
